Privacy Policy

This website is run by Ravi Mehandi Arts, a mehandi studio at Balaji Shopee, Panch Mandir Road, beside B.M. Market, Jhanda Chowk, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand 825301. For the personal data you share with us through this website, we are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act).

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

We only collect what you choose to give us when you fill in a booking form on this website:

• Your name
• Your mobile number
• Your function date, the service you want and your area or venue
• Anything you write in the message box, such as the number of people or design ideas
• The page of the website you sent the form from

We do not ask for payment details, ID documents or passwords on this website. Please do not share sensitive information such as health details in the message box.

When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, Instagram or email instead, those conversations stay on those apps and are covered by their own privacy policies as well as this one.

We use your details only to:

• Reply to your enquiry by call, WhatsApp or email
• Check our availability for your date and share a price
• Plan your free demo and the mehandi appointment
• Keep a simple record of bookings so we do not double book a date

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising. We will not add you to marketing messages unless you ask us to.

By sending a booking form you give us your consent to use your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us (see the contact details below). Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but it does mean we may not be able to complete your booking.

Your details are seen only by the Ravi Mehandi Arts team. To run the website we use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only as we instruct:

• Website hosting and database (Hostinger)
• Website visit statistics (Google Analytics)
• An email service that sends new enquiry alerts to our inbox

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, it is done in line with the DPDP Act and any rules or restrictions issued by the Government of India. We may also share data if the law requires us to.

We keep booking enquiries for up to two years after our last conversation with you, so we can look up past bookings if you come back to us. After that, or earlier if you ask us, we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep something for longer.

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• Ask us to correct, complete or update your data
• Ask us to delete your data
• Withdraw your consent
• Nominate another person to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity
• Raise a complaint with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days.

The gallery shows mehandi designs we have drawn, shared with the permission of our clients. If you see a photo of yourself on this website and would like it removed, write to us and we will take it down.

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the website and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your device and browser type and your approximate location, but not your name or phone number. We use this only to improve the website, not for advertising. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on. Some pages also show a Google Map, and our buttons link to WhatsApp, Instagram and Google. When you use those, the companies that run them may collect data under their own privacy policies.

Bookings should be made by an adult. If a booking is for someone under 18, a parent or guardian should fill in the form. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without a parent or guardian.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including secure connections (HTTPS), password protected access to our booking records and limited access within our team. If a personal data breach ever affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
